Ken Price of NM, or former of NM?

Nope. Ken P. Price, Ph.D., born in Boston, went to Brandeis then SUNY Stony Brook for graduate degree, then came to Dallas, December 30, 1975, to teach at UTSW Med School. Have been here ever since. We Texans have a saying for non-natives (such as moi): "I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as I could." My feelings zactly.

I saw this post for the first time today. Well said, doc. Love your 535, had it as a loaner and thought it was damn near perfect. Also like your perspective (previously un thought of to me) on the much maligned BMW cupholders!! The lack of storage spots still bothers me some as does the contortionist access to what storage there is, but I too have thought about how minimalist I must now be with my pack rat junk. And, I always look forward to walking to the car and unlocking it - how I do love that feature that opens all the doors and sunroof before I get in.

Great post and a nice read.

I agree with your thoughts on the BMW community, I was researching Porches a while back and couldn't find any boards that came close to BMW activity.

In regards the camel hair brushes, you have it bad

In regards to all the crap you no longer store in your car, BMW expects a well organized owner and doesn't want a lot of stuff flying around when you really experience the ultimate driving machine
