I was on my way home on the M6 doing about 80mph in the middle lane. There was a LDV minibus with about 8 people on at my 2o'clock position. Suddenly one of the passenger opened the side window and thrown out a glass bottle. The bottle hit the ground and smashed into pieces. At no time at all, my bumper was eating all of it and I could hear it and feel it. :'(

Obviously the driver didn't stop but I had to stop to inspect the damage if there was any.

Found out the corner of the left headlight glass was chipped and the paint work on many part of the bumper and bonnet was deeply damaged. Some parts was 2 mm deep that I can see the metal.

Just can't believe the behavior of these drunk animal.

Now I have to find a body shop and pay for the repair from my own pocket. :'(
Somebody calm me down please

Sections of the M6 have very good CCTV coverage and ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Reader). I would contact the motorway police asap as they may have footage which would allow them to identify the minibus and get you repaid for the damage.

Well, look on the bright side. What if you were driving a bike instead of an E60?

Please do report this to the police. These people should be made to face the consequences of their idiocy. Preferably painfully.

Sorry to hear about it.

I would have phoned in this insident at once with my cell to the police.

Exactly. Then follow the van until the police pull them over. Sorry to hear about the damage.

Sorry to hear about what happened. That would have pissed me up big time.

Did you get the rego #? If the CCTV is as good as what some here has stated, and you have the rego #, I'd report it to the Police. Maybe nothing will happen, but the thought of a small possibility that justice may be served will still satisfy me partially.
