that's like a double negative... "MUCH faster. Not great"

Perhaps your right, next time I will add times...something like instead of taking 20 seconds it takes 10. Still qualifies as MUCH faster, but Not great.

Horzmad:

It's not in the new documentation. I have always had to trigger the call wait on the handset, ever since CIP 15.0.

I think he is referring to the fact that there is room for much improvement and it's still not great.

Its really like saying two negative things...
Hope thats what he meant, I thought it was a witty play on words.

Sorry, where is the 2nd negative in there?

Are you saying that the update hasn't done nothing?

It was just a figure of speech, jokingly made by me... In summary, He says It is MUCH Faster... and then... not great... maybe I should have said a contradiction of terms, but I was only poking fun humour at the statement. We're all friends here!

And another thing I just checked, NO MP3 for Nav vehicles.? I find it a bit annoying that my neighbors $36,000 Chrysler 300C has 340 horsepower, RDS, Sirius, Navigation, AND MP3 and my 63K 545i doesn't. ?? ?

BMW is definitely on the trailing edge of consumer entertainment technology. Consider that CD players were an extra cost option on the 3er until the 2002 model year. My 2001 330i with NAV had a cassette deck. There wasn't even an in-dash CD option; I had to install a 6-disk changer in the trunk.

Honestly, we should consider ourselves fortunate the BMW has realized the importance of this stuff and is moving significantly more aggressively on it.
