Many thanks to Kscarol et al for sharing info re: version 15.

I hope to have it installed as soon as it is available. But despite several of you folks already having it,my dealer says:

A. He knows nothing about it.
B. He doesn't know when it will be available, but definitely not soon.
C. It will make no apparent changes that I will notice; it will only facillitate easier future programming for later software upgrades.

Any opinions on what I should tell him ( in gentlemanly language of course )?

No! Can't think of any nice way to tell him. Have him look up and call Peake BMW in New Orleans. They've heard of it and loaded it. I can't speak to making changes you'll notice, but I doubt that too.

Oh. if your dealer would like the printout mine gave me showing the upgrade to 15, PM me and I can fax you a copy to give to them.

It fixes FTM and other minor bugs. Wait till 15.2 if you can.

I have V15.

Does ver 15 fix the confounded audio system turning on every time you crank?

JDN, refresh my memory on this one. Is the problem that even if you shut the car down with the stereo off, when you restart, it is on? I always leave the stereo on so I've never noticed a problem. I'll try in the morning to see if that is the case.

What's the skinny on 15.2? Is it supposed to have MP3 support or something special?

Yes. That's the ticket. I like to listen on my own schedule. My main audio is the rattling air conditioner - hoped to be replaced on Monday.

Just went out the car and tried it. Seems to be corrected. Started the car, had CD playing hit the volume knob on the dash to "turn off" (mute symbol shows in iDrive screen) and turned off the car. Waited a couple of minutes and restarted, no stereo. Restarted, went back to Entertainment section of iDrive and it showed exactly where I'd left off, same track etc, w/ mute symbol at bottom of iDrive. I'll try again in the morning to see what happens once the car has had a chance to go into sleep mode.

JDN, this thread shows the bug fixes in version 15. There is a mention of a radio fix...
