Okay guys,
Today is pretty hot day in Toronto we hit 31C so I got my air conditioning on and the AUTO button is pushed on the dashboard. I set the temperature dial to 20 on both driver and passenger side.
1. The system was blowing cool air very high all the time it would not slow down even thus I have the AUTO button on. I was driving more than 1 hour, one would think that the cabin has reached 20C in one hour!!
2. I was feeling warm air in the car while the cool air is coming from ALL vents. Then I noticed the warm air is coming from under the passenger seat.
I went in the iDRIVE under Climate (Vent Settings) to configure the system and noticed the third bar on the passenger side is all the way to the right. The minute I turn it all the way to the left (which is OFF) the AUTO button on the dash went off. If I turn the AUTO button on the dash, the third bar on the iDRIVE goes all the way to the right and warm air starts. In the owners manual on page 92 I noticed an AUTO with a check box that does not show on my iDRIVE for both driver and passenger. Could this be the problem? If it is, why I don't have this AUTO check box on my iDRIVE?
My car has the latest software updates to my knowlegdge since I got it as pre-owned from BMW and also the dealer had to activate the BT and they told me I have the latest update on this car.
Could somebody tell me, how can I stop the warm air and keep the AUTO button on the dash? Thanks
