Ventilation/AC system has a mind of it's own

My Ride: 525i
Model Year: 2005
So I was out driving last week and it was pretty nice out so I turned off the ventilation system and rolled the windows down and opened the roof. A few minutes later the A/C was on again 
so I thought that I may have accidentally touched a knob and so I turned the ventilation off again, only to have it mysteriously turn on again a few moments later. 
I turned it off again and it turned on a minute later, this process repeated quite a few times and since then has been happenning almost daily. I've called the dealer and scheduled an appointment for next Friday. Has anyone else experienced the phantom ventilation?
