Ventilating Lower Compartment

How about starting your day out with a good laugh.
I thought the hole under the slide in the lower compartment of the front center armrest was an aux input. Just read in the owners manual that it is ventilation. Guess the iPod adapter will be my first mod.

I've often wondered about all this...

So does this mean that there is no ventilation in that compartment if you have factory iPod option?

I read about the ventilation in the manual, but didn't know if it was true in conjunction with iPod.

It is just big enough to keep my bar of Chocolate cold in the summer.

My baby Honda Jazz has a whole air conditioned glovebox that you can fit cans of drink and food in, it's great!
