ventilated seats question...

for those who have this option.... are the seats ventilated and cooled, or do they just circulate air through the seats....
I've sat in the ventilated/cooled seats in an explorer and lexus, and they definately got very cool....
seems expensive as as you have to get the special leather to go with it, $2800 total for the leather and ventilation.... I'm considering trading out the logic 7 for the ventilated seats...

You have a switch for turning them on and off. The switch has three settings. If you select the highest, it only stays on for five minutes or so and then goes back to the next lower step. That is so that your back is not getting too cold. That means, the ventilation is cooling your back down. It's not connected to the A/C AFAIK, but it's damn good.
