Thumbs up

Does anyone have ventilated seats in their E60? According to my dealer it's a "priority 1" item that is not common, but can be ordered.

If so, could you please comment on how you like them? Are the seats perforated??

Thanks.

It is the best feature you can get to improve the comfort. The skin is perforated, it only comes with Nasca Black and Beige.

I have it and like it. But.... I'm not sure it's worth what it costs -- you get double dipped first for the Nasca leather upgrade from Dakota, then for the ventilation. Very expensive for modest comfort benefit, at least in the PNW. Maybe in AZ or CA it would be more worthwhile.

How do you get that badge in your avatar? I looked all over google, couldn't find it.

Oh, and no, I have dakota black leather seats.

I love the ventilated seats -- they can be pretty expensive to order but to me, they're worth evey penny.

(E60714, you can get those avatars right from the edit avatar page of the site. Just pull down the drop-down box where it says "choose an avatar from one of our galleries" and select "model badges.")

Also remember, that unless you lease, you will not get any residual on these - so at trade in time, they are worthless. If you sell it outright however, then they are worth something (although still probably not as much as a lease would have returned).

I like the ventilated seats as well but the effect/benefit is moderate. I can see how some would say it's an iffy option. They do work but the action is more subtle than I suspect most people expect.

I think the effect is more pleasing in more extreme environments/latitudes than where I live.
