I'm wondering why this option is no longer available, this is a great feature. I ordered the new X5 4.8 with this option, since I live in steamy Florida, I thought I'd give them a try and boy am I glad that I did. The upgrade comfort seats with ventilation really make a great car even better in fact, the X5 is actually more comfortable than my 550i. Anyone know why we cannot get this option?

Who told you it wasn't an option anymore? The ventilated seats on the E60, at least in the USA, were never offered as a regular option -- instead, they were listed as a "priority one" option. Priority one options are like little secret options that you have to ask for before anyone will acknowledge that they exist. Part of the problem is that many salespeople at certain dealerships don't even know about these priority one options! Don't know why they do it that way but that's the way they do it.
Maybe they still exist and you're just not asking someone who knows about this?

Happy New Year to you too -- one of your new year's resolutions ought to be to improve on the spelling of other people's names!
