It was at a VERY upper end restaurant where the valets somehow(?) tore the leather on my armrest of my old Audi.
We live a block from a luxury Hotel (49 years it has received the Mobile 5 Star Award). While walking past the valet lot one night we observed the Valet drive an M3 over a curb at about 25 mph.
I don't think it necessarily follows that the valets at Luxury hotels are more careful with the cars...

TIP:
Depending of the establishment if you see a curve side parking just point at the parking spot as you get out of your car i paid $5 for the best parking spot and ask to keep your key ;-)
At night clubs the VIP Parking spot is in the front of the entrance, as you pull up to the valet roll down your window and turn to point at the vip parking spot but just ask how much extra for that parking spot most of the time it $5 - $10 extra, here you can ask to park it your self if not at the end of the night when there is a line at the valet work your way to the valet guy and ask for your key because your car is in front of the club
