took my car to the local dealer to get some work done and they kept my car over night. some idiots decided it would be fun to vandalise my car while parked over night on the forecourt outside the dealer ship, i had to get it repaired privately at a cost of ?450.00, as the dealership refused to take ownership of the damage as i only noticed it when i got home.

the fXXXERS who damaged the car used some kind on hammer (usually found in the rear of coaches and buses to break the glass in case of an emergency)

the painter had to paint the bonnet and offside wing and also the half of the offside door. in order for him to paint the door he said he had to remove the card, so that he could remove the wing mirror. in the process of removing the card he disconnect the air bags etc.

is it normal for the airbag light to come on after the airbags in the door were disconnected and then reconnected?

Idiots like that usually make a night of it. Ask someone at the dealer if there were other cars damaged at the same time.
I hope they would at least help you sort out the airbag issue.
