BTW, for those of you that love the giddyup of the 550i, I highly recommend you try the E550. Can you say "neck-snapping?" We definitely don't want to get locked into a speed competition with one of those babies!

There would be a really great comparison there unless, of course, there are any curves or lane changes in which case the enormous body sway of the MB might cause you to rethink your purchase. No matter what they do, say or advertise, Mercedes always has and always will be the car of choice for old men.

This was true in my case. I really wanted to get the CLK 550 when shopping for a luxobarge, cause at heart I am a drop top guy, but my wife told me that only old guys drive MB, and I needed to wait 20 years....

haha. i just got a ride home in my friend's dad's e60 545i with acschnitzer full body kit and rims. he used to have a 07 m5 in interlagos blue and a e46 m3, but it drank too much gas. its so sexy.
and a couple weeks back i got a ride from my other friend who has a alpine white 2008 550i with every option =D..and hes only 16. lol today i saw him racing a g35 coupe(smoked it) and later on in the afternoon i was in a friend's toyota avalon and he happened to zoom by in his 550i and he was taunting us...revving his v8 then flooring the pedal and driving away.
i liked their cars so much that i had to register here and study the e60 5 series.

anyways, heres some pics =]
Before:

After

interlagos blue m5
