Default Used EGS unit

Looking for step by step directions to code a used EGS unit to my 2009 535ix.The used EGS is from a 2009 528ix. I cant reuse the black piece(TCU) from the old EGS. The connector pin broke. Thanks in advance.

Just code the VIN like any other module.

I have tried that with Winkfp but i think am missing something. The ZB numbers are different. The donor EGS number is 7591971 and the original one from the car is 7601460. Every time i code the Donor unit to the car it gives me 7601460(the old unit)instead of the 7591971(the "new" Unit).

What part did you actually replace on the car. Pic. For some reason INPA is not seeing it. Even if you don't code it it should be changed with the VIN being from the donor

I'm also see the last it was coded was on April 30 so there is something you are doing wrong. Are you writing it at the end

When you do that you have to code it then pair it to the car or it won't work. Let me see if there is a how to for it. It's just like replacing the CAS. It had to be paired. Did you get the TCU from the donor also

Yes the TCU is from the donor. I broke the pin on the old TCU while trying to reinstall the electric plug that connects the valve body to the car reason why i cant reuse the old one.

Ok you have the donor TCU you should be good to at least drive the car after resetting adaptions.the TCU/TCM pairs to the mechatronic. After install reset adaption and your car should be good with no codes. Make sure you delete stored codes from previous car.

Does that mean i don't need to code and pair the car to the new TCU? I have already reset the adaptions and the car still feels very sluggish when changing gears.

This is why i replaced the valve body.

After i put everything back together, i fired up INPA to reset the adaption values and i ended up getting this error. Wondering if this has anything to do with the Egs unit not been paired to the car? Before i was able to access my transmission module without any issues in INPA
