Question: How can I keep the Nav from going back to the destination selection screen whenever I leave Nav for Communication or Entertainment options? I just want the damn map to come up like it was when I left...no joy. Another one, can I get the options (such as information points, or map facing north options) to stay on or off...they always seem to reset to a BMW defined default.

Use voice command. Say: map facing north. Then it will jump back to the map without going through destination selection.

<snip> Whenever you leave the nav menu, you can get cack to the screen you left by holding the iDrive controller to the right for 2 seconds then releasing. It should take you back to the screen you left.

Well it worked exactly as you said...hold it to the right for 2s and the nav comes back directly. OK now how can I get those left hand options to stay as I selected them? Maybe this question is for Munchen?

Unfortunately, you can't keep the screens to your own default. They always revert back to BMW's idea of a default. Maybe someday....
