Juventus, I'd love to help but I'm an Inter fan, so you're on you own. LOL.
LOL. On a brighter note, I've found an Italian Soccer fan.

Is it ok to take the car to a non-BMW dealer to have the tires checked out?

Yes, but I'd only let them take a look. Might be worth a few bucks for their professional opinion. Maybe they can identify the problem so you can go back to your dealer w/ the source of the problem. If the problem has something to do w/ the tires, such as a leak or puncture, you're probably going to have to pay for the new tires and you don't have to go to the dealer for that. If the problem is something with the rims/wheels, maybe it will be covered under the warranty.

Not an expert, but given that this problem has developed after 11,000 miles, I'm leaning towards a slow leak caused by some sort of puncture, a problem w/ the stems or perhaps bent rims allowing air to leak out. Have you hit a curb or particularly bad pothole lately? If the problem is bent rims, again you will be out of pocket as this will not be covered by warranty unless there is some defect. Good luck!

weather changes would not cause 10-15 psi/week.

The problem could be something you did versus a warranty issue or something very simple (bent rim, nail, bad valve stem...). Take the car to a good tire shop and have them check them out.

Americas Tire/Discount Tire, fixes flats for free. Take your car in there and have them check it out. They may not even charge you.

This is my first post on this site and I'm sorry its a whinning post:

I had my tires checked out by my local BMW dealership a couple of weeks ago because three of them were repeatedly losing air ( FTM correctly going off ). Now in the past three days this has happened twice. My dealership says that its the weather changes do this but what I don't understand is why does the weather only affect 3 tires.

Tires lose about 10-15 psi.

This is getting very upsetting. I can't leave my clinic every other day to have this thing looked at. I was thinking of getting my wife a new X5 but now I am really double minded. A couple of my friends who were thimking of buying a BMW are not looking at this favorably.

Sorry I'm whinning but what else can I do.
On my previous E60 (with type 138 17" alloys), one of the tyres was loosing 10psi every 20 days (about 0.5psi p/d). There was about 800 miles on the car. I brought it back to the dealer and the techie said he had heard reports of some of the alloys being porous. He took the wheel off the car and submerged it in a bath of water to see if he could find the leak. Nothing showed up but because he had another type 138 allow/type on the shop he just swapped it. So it could have been a porous alloy or a vey slow leak but it cured my problem. Could be something similiar.

After reading this post, I ran out to check my tire pressure. I have style 124 with Dunlops. To my surprise, I only have 26 psi front and 25 psi rear. No wonder the car was riding smooth. Unfortunately, all 4 tires were within 1-2 psi from each other, so the FTM did not go off.

I last checked my tire about 2 month ago. I will do it more often from now on.

I've never had such problems with none of mine E60/E61. Surely it is a rims problems but might as well be tires. However bother the BMW dealer until the problem is settled.

P.S.: Juventus is always the best nobody can deny it, just look at the rank.

I have factory fitted Contitouring 225/50 R17 94v cv95. These are not run-flats. Don't have a clue what 94v and cv95 mean.
I could be wrong but I thought all factory fitted tyres (expect 16" and 19" option) are Run-Flats?

The 94 and V is the load rating and speed index respectively.

525 and 530 in the US without sports pack come with the Conti's on the 138 rims (17x7.5) and they are not runflats (exactly what I have on my car.

Just tp be the pessimest, but if they checked the tires and found no leaks (and a leak that fast should be easy to check) and it is happening to three tires, any chance there is someone messing with your tires and letting air out?

If not the dealer should be able to diagnose the problem.
