yes you can replace the speakers, i have done it but you will not be able to fit the rear door speakers unless you have the door card to match and the wire loom, if you want full L7 you will need
the L7 amp plus wire loom and then the car will have to be re-coded to include the L7 software

Wouldn't it be much cheaper to just add an after market sub and amp (like most of us did) and maybe an EQ?
+1, anyone have a DIY on adding an amp and a sub?
Nothing very difficult - I retrofit LOGIC7 one month ago. (together with HUD - less job at the same time).
Price:
~130$ for all L7 speakers
~180$ for L7 amp
~40$ for original wires
and two days for job.
Programing - $40.
Then You turn sound, believe it worth all this.

I was searching in ebay, Lithuanian, Polish internet auction, scrapyards for the parts. Its easy buy now in ebay all speakers for 800 euros or
amplifier for 300 euros. I dont want to pay such money, so it took ~4 month to get all parts in good prices. For example, in the first post
is a link with all L7 speakers (without soobwoofers) for $100. My friend seems have L7 soobwoofers and I have in village at
my parents house L7 amp with all contacts, holders, sockets and etc (can sell for ~$200+shipping).
Connection is pretty simple - there are power supply and ground connection to amp and outgoing 9 pair of wires to speakers:
1. to left rear door
2. to left front door (mid speaker + high speaker)
3. to center speaker
4. to right rear door
5. to right front door (mid speaker + high speaker)
6. to rear right speaker (mid speaker + high speaker)
7. to rear left speaker (mid speaker + high speaker)
8. to left subwoofer
9. to right subwoofer
+ fiber optical cable for sound.
For rear doors need to cut holes and put covers (original according leather colors).
So if You have time, You can buy parts for good prices and retrofit L7. For example, I at first only put wires and change
subwoofers. Later change speakers (it still need to change front doors speakers)
P.S. one picture, panel removed for HUD, dont affraid
