Has anyone with MY04 upgraded to MY05? I was thinking of doing it. I know I'll take some loss on it but if all the bugs, such as the Bluetooth issues have been fixed, it may be worth it for me.

Hey JWO
Question for you:

Are you going to upgrade once again at 2006 when the LED tail-lights becomes available??

How about in 2007 when the E60 gets a facelift?? :'(

And 2008 when the ///M Sports Package becomes available with the 5.0 Litre engine?

Are you sure??!! <_<

If you answer yes! To all my questions, then by all means?. Go for it!!

Cheers,

beewang

of course we all hope the '05 will be bug/trouble free but there is no guarantee :'(. what if there are some other problems in the '05 that nobody has noticed yet? upgrade to '05 because of the problems that dealers suppose to fix, i don't think it's a good idea. but that's just my personal thinking.

Beewang,

I cannot say "yes" for any of the above. I want 545i badly, but I'll just wait for 2006 or so. :'(

You guys are right (and sound like my wife..lol). I still love my car. I will wait a few years and upgrade to the 545 instead.

If you're planning on upgrading soon, you should have leased your ride.

If you gonna upgrade to 545i in a few years time, Why don't you consider on getting the new V8 m3/m4. I would probably buy that instead of getting 545i. pricewise it will be probably around the same. I may be ordering the new m3/m4 next year and trade in my car. Lol.

The e90 probably won't be out for another 3 years. By that time the rumored 550 should be out.

In a couple years, I may find my way into a slightly used '06 M5.

I am going to upgrade my 530D to 535D but most likely for MY2006 late next year.
Rationale:
1. New motor appeals to me very much (should be closest to ultimate in my understanding). Though the one of 530D is also good.
2. I'm desperate to take BMW Individual. I was shocked by the comaprsson to 6-series interior trim. Since my first time inside the 6-series I realised that 5 really
deserves more in that regard at any cost.
3. Hope to see it without bugs , completely fit (I'am still waiting for the retrofit of Voice Command here) and more available BT snap-in adaptors for the latest handy models.
