Most people will click "do it". The 545 is just a better car. But its your money and you are not telling us much. I have no idea if you are buying, leasing or how much he is realy charging you.

With current money factors you can lease a 545 with 12k miles/yr loaded to about $64K MSRP for $700/ month.

if uv already have a 530 and are considering a new car and can also afford it get a 2006 not 2005. Either go for 255 hp 530 or the new 545 (4.8l)....
i just ordered a 545 but thats because im driving a piece of @$% right now and coulnt wait any longer, u my friend can.

The deal is on the 545 right now. You will get that 340HP V8 for the same price as an 06 530 or 330 for that matter. The 550 will have a much higher money factor when it comes out. That's why we need more information. It looks like the dealer is making a sh!t load of money on you.

It is always good to go for top of range model "545i" .. but I thinks it depends on some other criteria when deciding to go for either new 545i or upgrade as in your case. if you see yourself like having a powerful car which don't NO when you ask for speed .. then upgrade to 545i .. otherwise keep your 530 .. becuase most of other options can be ordered in your 530 .. and I think 530 is better for people live in cities .. I feel uncomfortable with my 545i when there is traffic jam but I like speed .. I feel I am flying when going fast .. and that is why I chose 545i instead of 530.

I don't even think the 5 series should be offered without a V8 engine or bigger.

thanks for all your thoughts. A bit more info. I leased a 530i just a month ago and i'm not happy with the performance. So the dealer is offering a brand new 545 loaded for the $2k and $120 more on my payment. Bringing my payment up to $750 per month. Not sure what to do but I need more H.P. Going to try and talk the dealer down on the $ and see what happens.
