Well-I'm changing insurance companies regardless-even if I have to pay more. I now know why Erie was so much cheaper. They'll be losing my homeowners as well. I know I'm small potatoes to these guys, but I must make a statement.

Jimbo, I don't think rates are affected by accidents, etc. which are covered by the comprehensive portion -- I know that deductible doesn't apply. But, OTOH, I do not pretend to be an insurance expert . The above has just been my experience through the years. However, an inciident is an incident to an insurance company and on the third incident within a year, you can be canceled in most places I have lived.

JDN, I don't know who you have insurance through, but on my USAA policy, I do have a deductible that applies to my comprehensive coverage. It is a level you choose, just like the deductible on collision.
