Hi everyone,
Thanks for the input on my previous post. As it turns out, my front airbag sensor's clip had come UNPLUGGED! Can you believe it? The Manager told me that BMW makes sure that this isn't possible due to any other reason than manually unplugging it to say, do body work. I explained that when I bought the car it was a CPO and that they claimed it had never been in an accident or had any work done. Since then the front bumper has NOT come off. He said that it must have been unplugged at some point and was never properly inserted...and that it probably didn't come completely unplugged until now.
Could the dealership that sold me the car have lied to me? Why the heck would the sensor have been unplugged? This would be a serious safety issue if it did it on its own so I am inclined to believe what I have been told...
Just thought it would be of interest...
Despite it being almost three years since I bought the car I feel like calling up the dealership I boughtit from.

I didn't read the other thread, where is the sensor clip located?

I found my seat heater unplugged once...think a back seat passenger with really large feet must have dislodged it.

I suppose it became completely unplugged the minute the warning light came on.

Pretty scary though.

Exactly...
From what I understand, the sensor is in the front bumper.
