My Ride: 2005 BMW 545i, Silver Grey, Sport Package, R. Shades, Cold Pkg, Sat. Rad., Prem. Sound.
Default

Least used options:

1. Cold weather package - (Houston, TX where it get to 39 degrees for a couple of days out of a year).
2. Sirius Radio - hardly ever used
3. Fog lights - doesn't do a bit of help. Are there any other bulb that can shine further than the xenon. I kinda live out in the boonies.
4. Sunroof - never fully open, just tilt. Most of the time, it stinks, hot, and humid outside.
5. Rear Seat - rarely anyone back there.
6. Trunk space - rear carry anything back there except a trunk mat and rarely an umbrella stroller.
7. Reverse mode - only use it to back out of the drive way.
8. Cup holders - can't hold much and pretty flimsy.
9. Rear arm rest - like the back seat option.
10. Floor mats - the rubber mats sit on top of them.
11. Rear power windows - never had to roll them down.

I'm starting to wonder if I need a 4 door sedan.

Who....what?......what the hell is High Beam Assist
Small camera/sensor in the back of the rear view mirror looks ahead and monitors for oncoming headlights. You leave your headlights on full beam all the time, and when a car comes the other way, they dim to main beam. When the car has passed, they switch back to full beam automatically. Of course, that's the _theory_ ... apparently it doesn't work too well.

Programable soft touch buttons that look like radio presets.

Wow - that surprises me ... I _love_ the short cuts in the X5 and can't wait for the new E60 to arrive because I miss them so much when I drive mine. PS, you CAN program them to be radio presets if you like! Option 1, phone home on bluetooth. Option 2, navigate home. Option 3, favourite radio station in case you've been flicking round USB and got bored of the music, etc etc. I think the shortcuts are excellent!!

Voice control for the phone system (can take years to program. )

The L7 audio system.

And let's not forget the Lawyer's iDrive Screen (we're not alone, my Navigation system for my BMW bike makes me swear I won't play with my GPS while riding and proceeds to lock it out over 5 mph anyway.)

My Ride: 2005 545i Titanium Silver Metallic / Gray / Steptronic / Sport Package w/ active steering, adaptive xenons, sport seats, 18" style 124 wheels / Logic 7 sound / PDC / Bluetooth / iPod Integration

Fortunately I was able to purchase my used vehicle with only the options I really needed. My favorites are Sport Package, Logic7, Bluetooth and iPod integration that I added. I continue to be amazed at how good the Logic7 sounds with the iPod integration. Hands down the best OEM stereo I have ever heard.

the sirius connection for $500. I drive so infrequently living in Manhattan that I will not subscribe, but it was part of the car and I guess so it will remain....unused.
