My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.
I will be installing the Umnitza Mtech rear bumper and diffuser next week. I decided to purchase new brackets instead of using the old ones and not have it all properly mounted and secured. The question I have is, at what point is the rear diffuser mounted to the bumper? Prior to bumper install or after the bumper is secured to the car? I assume after the bumper is mounted/secure and adjusted to the car I would then install the diffuser, but I really hate to assume anything after dealing with some pretty ridiculous modifications to the front bumper in order to get the wings to latch correctly.

u can only install it prior to installing the bumper. You have these 3-4 bolts where the diffuser bolts on to. You cant access them once the bumper is on. I recently tried to take the diffuser out and ran into this issue, I have to take the entire bumper off to get access to those 4 bolts.

Ah, see this is exactly why I try not to assume anything. I figured it would go on after the bumper was installed. I even asked the guy at Umnitza and he said he had no idea... Thanks!

Can't wait to read your write-up about this purchase/install. Because of a few key things you mentioned I decided to go OEM - have an install date the day after I get home, so hopefully jet-lag doesn't interfere.
The irony is I have been planning on getting rid of the car, I finally found the vehicle I want but I already paid for half of the mtech kit, non-refundable. So if I can't trade this thing in, someone will get a hell of a deal on my car.
