Does anyone have the instructions for unlocking the Service Menu for the CCC? Found the instructions from the posted CIC manual to unlock its Service Menu, but not for the CCC.

Unlocking the Service Menu Option
Several important functions can be checked directly at the CIC with the aid of the
Service menu. This menu can be used to select and adjust settings that are not visible
for the customer.

The procedure for starting the Service menu with the "safe grip" has changed compared
to the CCC system:
? Call up Start menu
? Push controller in up direction for at least 10 sec
? Controller 3 notches to the right
? Controller 3 notches to the left
? Controller 1 notch to the right
? Controller 1 notch to the left
? Controller 1 notch to the right
? Press controller once
? The Service menu is now added as the last submenu to "Settings"
Four selection menus are available in the Service menu of the CIC:
? Navigation
? Telephone and BMW Service
? TV (Not for US)
? Gracenote

It`s the same, seams to only work on non nav (US) or (Euro) nav M.A.S.K. modules though. I have never got it to work on my pre-LCI CCC due to the stupid haptic feedback, will try it on my LCI-CCC after I have retrofitted it.

Hi,
This looks interesting but let me ask u what is the CCC or CIC.
Also what is the "safe grip" u mentioned?

After doing the above procedure, what will be added to the menu on the screen.
thanks

CCC Car communications computer
CIC Car infotainment compter

The service menu will be of no use to you as it`s ment for trained techs to do testing on the system software.

No there are adaptors that fit in the cradle for specific mobile phones.
