Waiting for trunkopener button from Hobi :)
I found out the same thing when I was in Germany. I also used the 100 octane gas in my car and it really made a difference in the buttdyno.. I waited as long as possible with filling the car up in the netherlands because the max octane we can get is 98.

Wow , a 100 octane, it must be expensive? You purchase by the liter, so that must get really expensive I wonder if we will get 100 octane at our gas stations in the US (highest is 93 octane). That would be really nice, especially for acceleration purposes.
A friend of mine told me that you can purchase race car gas at (I think 110 octane) for about $5 to $6 a gallon depending on mixture and type of car you are competing with.

In Germany V-Power is 100 octane and they also have a V-Power Diesel now.
Anyways, 100octane V-Power is about 5 USD a gallon.
It's the only gas I use, and all gas stations, not only Shell, are replacing the 98 octane with 100 octane. I don't know if it makes a difference, but it's definately not bad for the engine...

Is octane measured on the same scale in Europe as in the US?
We had this discussion before and it seemed like it isn't.

A few words about octane... 91 octane is not just 91 octane, because Europe and the US uses different standards. Don't know about the rest of the world... In Europe, the Research Octane Number (RON) standard is used, whereas the US uses an average of MON and RON, the Anti-Knock Index (AKI). In comparison, AKI 91 octane in the US is the equivalent of RON 95 octane in Europe.
