What do you think about using a universal intake/free flow for my 550i? Are the universal intakes specially designed to suck a particular amount of air, etc? Please tell me what you think about doing this...I want opinions

The only real free flow intakes that have been proven to work are Dinan. DO NOT GET A AFE Intake. It has been confirmed over and over again that it reduces HP. Do a search on RPI scoops. I added the RPI scoop and removed my secondary Carbon element which is an emissions only item and cannot say the I have increased HP but I do see greater MPG which to me is worth the MOD my 1-2 mpg is paying back very fast at these current prices.
