When my 530 D 2066 model went in for its last service that the service I was advised that I should watch my tyre pressures due to uneven wear on the rear tyres, I checked the tyre pressures and it came out from service with underinflated tyres all round, in fact diferent pressures on different axles. I religously check pressures but have noticed in the last week or so the rear tyres are at 4.5 mm on rear offside but 2mm and down to the stypes on the rear nearside. The wear is even across the width of the tyre, so I do not think that over or under inflation is the problem. The car is used mainly for motorway work and I do not thrash it (well nearly never) I am sure there is a simple answer, but I cannot think what it is. I check the pressures probably once a week at least. The fronts are wearing completely evenly. One of my colleagues suggested that may the power to the rear wheels wasnt being distributed evenly for some reason. Whilst I am technically minded to a degree I am baffled. any ideas knowledgeable ones.

Wow a 2066!
You said that you have uneven wear on the rear tires - is the wear equal on both the right and left tires? I don't understand the reference to offside and nearside? If the right has more wear that could be due to the torque on acceleration.
G'luck
