Suggest you look for a good indy garage...they can save you big bucks. Within the last month my indy saved me $400 on new battery replacement.

My battery has been going low and I keep getting the message that "battery disconnected".Also, other weird stuff like' Speed limit exceeded".
Took it to the dealer and was told "you don't drive the right way and you don't drive enough!
Was sold a BMW float charger and was told to plug the vehicle in every night!
HOW INSULTING CAN THEY BE??
I love driving the 5series but my old Ford Taurus (a real beater) is more reliable.
Does every BMW dealership act this rude?
Tell every owner of a plus $50k vehicle that they have to plug it in to a charger every night. WTF
All advice appreciated by me as a first time owner

My car sits for days at a time with no problems (sometimes up to a week). My MB coupe sat last winter under two feet of snow and after three months fired up the first time. I did start it every FOUR weeks in between and ran it till proper operating temp was reached.
You have a poor alternator or battery or both. You definitely have a poor dealership.
Good luck on Friday. Are you under warranty? If so ask them to test the car for any battery drain. When I first got my car, it needed a new 'Comfort Access module' and electronic gearshift module when problems did occur with the battery. Comfort Access door modules are an often mentioned battery drain.

Just had my battery replaced by the dealer after getting the message, "Battery Increased Discharge" and had to reset the clock everytime the car is started. The first time the dealer tested the battery and said it all checked out. So they did nothing. Second time, I said it is getting rediculous that I get the same message and have to reset my clock everytime. Next thing you know, I get a call from the SA and said your car is ready to be picked up with a new battery. No charge! No pun intended. Anyway, saw the bill for a oil change and battery replacment and it came out to $460.
