I currently have a year old E60, and like the one I had before it, the windscreen wipers are the "wrong way round". My guess is that BMW got lazy and didn't swap the windscreen orientation for their mass LHD market. My wife's new E70 has the windscreen wipers the right way round. Will my new LCI E60 (Eta October '07) have the wipers the right way round...?

It'll probably still be the wrong way... Does it really bother you that much? I know its been discussed before and people say it leaves that one spot above your head uncleared...

It doesn't bother me that much, but given the choice I would prefer them to be the other way round. If it's been discussed before, I'll leave it at that Thanks!

Do they put the clutch on the right , the brake in the middle and the gas pedal on the left. What is the history of why countrys decide to have left and right orientation cars?

Its been discussed here a while back for Pre-LCIs but not for the LCI... I doubt they changed it but never hurts to ask.

Quite interesting. I was in Barbados recently and rented a car with right hand drive, stick shift, and was driving my family at night without exact directions. The only thing that would have made it more difficult on the roads, which were in some cases 1.5 lanes wide total, would have been if i was driving drunk. It was quite the experience getting to the hotel.

One should admit that for the required price, things should be set as expected / requested by the customer...

I noticed the difference when I first moved from my 3 Series to the 5 but I can't say that it even registers with me any more now that I've got used to it.
