I got staggered offset 452's on mine.......few weeks old now so bedded in
They seem ok so far, yes they are a little skinny compared to ?? and the offer little protection, but I give kerbs and stuff a wide berth anyways![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)
Tyre noise seems ok but not great, sidewalls feel a little floopy and inprecise when pushing on hard compared to the uber stiff side walls on the run flats which I had on before, or indeed comapared to the 17inch Michelin MX3's I had fitted on my trackday, the grip none the less seems pretty good despite that slightly lazy sidewall, wet or dry.
If you value you handling the way it came from the factory I advise not to go the staggered offset route unless you only want the visual element, the 275s at the rear with 245's up front have introduced a little understeer compared to the standard 245's all round, but in everyday driving you wont notice this, only when your pushing so hard its almost illegal, I wont be buying staggered offsets again.

hahah so your here as well Richard ![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)
To be honest mate you only notice if your chucking the thing round like a 3 series, just lacks a little precision when turning in hard on tight bends or corners like small roundabouts, driven in a more mature manner you never notice it, which is 90% of my driving in any case

Hi,
I'm new to the forum and new to BMW! I've just bought a 2005 525D SE
I'm after some advice and I've already done a lot of reading and phoning around about the subject. My car has business iDrive consisting of a slot in CD player (currently broken) and a 6 CD Changer. I want the USB audio interface (option 6FL) but it's proving hard to find solid information and pricing. I believe my iDrive is the older MASK system. Ideally I'd like to keep the CD changer but I've read I might have to sacrifice it for the USB interface. Of course there are other possiblities like the Dension Gateway 500... Does anyone have any experience with any of this kit? I just want something to play MP3s of a USB stick.
Any help would be appreciated!

Leasing co / dealer called to say new car just arrived hopefully picking her up on Friday or Monday next week. After the short stint in an Audi Q5 (good idea that went bad) and a loaner M-B C-Class cant wait to get behind the wheel of the 5er.

can anyone tell me if theyve retrofitted xenons to a april 05' 523, and if so ,what do I need as I'm a technical retard.
I need to buy the bits, give them to my local Indy and pay through the nose I know, but have so far just met with
silence. Can anyone help?

Hi all,
I am lurking at the moment, but looking for a 525d or 530d touring M sport. In fact we are looking at one this w/e (ie tomorrow)
Is there anything I should look for with the 5?
I'll be checking service history, already HPI'd it, checking drivers seat bolster (these seem to wear a lot) stone chips etc.
The one we ae viewing tomorrow is a 525D Auto. on a 55 plate with 39k on the clock.
BTW Tourings seem to be rare in the uk and reason
Thanks in advance....
