Nice comparison between the 2 cars; pleased to hear that BMW have been imorving the car over the years!! FWIW, you can input postcodes into the 'City' field in the Nav screen, bu it's not the full 7 digits, just 5 IIRC.

In theory yes you can, but the number digits are never available to enter, so no postcodes 5 or 7 digits

I have the same problem - not sure when the car was built but it was supplied to me new only 2 weeks ago - hence probably the same CIP vintage as yours E60_530D. BMW customer services assure me the function should be available, but it isn't. Back to the dealer!!

High Beam Assist dips your headlights automatically when other cars approach you, or when lighting is OK (but also when approaching large reflective signs apparently !)
