I just have to say that I hate having a nice car in the winter. I love my car so much and hate to see it covered in ice, being scraped off, salt on the carpets, salt everywhere. THIS is the last winter I will drive this or any other BMW I buy. If anyone else feels this way post your winter HATE here...... and oh yeah west coast people are lucky, so lucky.

I'm WITH ya man! Which is why mine stays parked in the garage (more like a dingy basement actually) on a battery conditioner all winter. I drive the old Jeep Liberty only in the winter.

+1

In crap (heavy salt & sand) I try to drive the 11 year old Audi most of the time.

That reminds me, it has been in the garage for a week without starting and I need to go let her run for a while this morning.

Ridiculousness!

Its not a 29 Deusenberg. These cars were designed to work in the most extreme conditions. You PAID for that engineering. Thats why you drive a BMW. If you think it'll be worth more money when you go to sell it because it wasnt driven in rain or snow, you're mistaken. Drive your cars.

+1. The only vehicle I save for summer riding is my motorcycle, but for entirely different reasons.

oh yeah? so you drive your M3 all over the place in the snow do ya? bullshit. You wouldn't get more than a few miles down the road until you got stuck along the side of the road and one of us in a 4 wheel drive had to pull over and 'assist' you. Seriously?!?!?
