Hi, wanted to know if people have a "general" idea how long a set of 4 x 17in run flats should last. I am sure its dependent on driving style (most of my mileage is motorway) but I'd like to guage peoples' feedback. Is it 15,000miles ? 20k? 25k ? 30k ?

.. I think the real answer is you continusously look at them (examine them) and replace when needed. But I am sure you also plan to do it after x miles.

Thoughts ?

Do folk replace all 4 or just back 2 and swap front-back ?

Cheers

I have Bridgstone OEM 17" runflats on 530d auto. Changed the rears at 29,000 miles and the fronts are still going at 39,000miles and have 4mm across tread on both tyres. Driving is a mix of motorway and London urban crawling!! Being a company car it is driven fairly hard.

mine went 20,000 before I had to replace, and most of that was freeway miles

My Dunlop RFs seems fine. Not the best grip in wet weather but no roar yet at 9000 miles. I will change them at the end of the year since I am on a 36 month lease. I don't want to wait and give new tires to the next owner.

I have the 18" versions 245's and 275's but still same tyre make. Done 18,000 miles and still 3mm all round. Fronts have worn on inside edge though and will need replacing very soon. I would think 20k is about the right estimate.
