I recently had my wheels balanced, but after they did so my steering wheel was a bit of to the right.
I went back to them to sort it out and correct it, but tried many times and things, even till over correction occurred. But they couldn't manage to get the steering wheel perfectly centered.

Did anyone have this same experience? Could it have something to do with the active steering?

What can/could/should I do to get my steering wheel perfect. Should I go back to the same tyre center or try another?

Thanks, I'll ask them to reset the AS first thing when I'm at the dealer.

Fact or Fiction?

My dealer informed me that the steering problem could be due to a feature in the BMW that ensures that your car will move slightly to the right (in the US) in the event that you fall asleep at the wheel. This causes your car to head to the side of the road rather than into oncoming traffic on the other side of the road.

What do you think?

Never heard of that...
On a straight road, my car is about perfectly straight going.
If so, what about the right sided steering countries, they better not fall asleep behind the wheel?

I tend to believe that the dealer was spewing more fabrications, but I thought that the story was cute enough to share here. :'(
