Mine must be a record LOW at 35K!?!?

Replaced under warranty. I wonder if engine runs TOO HOT with turbos and ECU reflashed?? Or should have had coolant flushed at 2 years?

I replaced this pump (and thermostat, just to be safe) on my 2006 325i, with N52 engine. 97k miles.

Sorry to hear that bro. Save a lot of $$$ by doing this repair yourself or find a reputable indy to do it for you, it'll be much cheaper. Very doable if you're handy with tools.

got it at an Audi dealer, looks like its covered under the service contract i bought with it....., noticed the noise 2 hrs later when i got it home.went back the next day and redid the deal with the warranty coverage.they were not going to do anything until i said.. " thats cool, my fault for not paying attention when i bought it" but i must tell you i will be reporting about how you operate here,, thanks to the internet...then they said lets relook at that, i think we can help, don't post anything on the web... i haven't told them yet that its covered under the warranty...

Mine went around 75K. had it towed into the dealer and they fixed it under CPO for $50 deductible. If i didn't have CPO I would have fixed it myself with an OEM pump.

It's an electric driven pump which has some advantages but it is expensive when it does need to be replaced. You have to buy new aluminum mounting bolts along with the Pump. if you are an accomplished DIY mechanic I would not be afraid to go after this project, just make sure you "burp" the system properly.

Mine lasted 135,000 beautiful miles.

Can't ask for more than that. Guess I'll have to replace again at 270,000 ha ha

I had mine replaced by an independent Bimmer shop in town - they do good work, fair price.

Mine's in the shop right now getting replaced @ 64K miles. It's about 1K to replace at the dealership where I live. They told me this is not typical.
