Sport mode via DS only gives the throttle response, sportier gear change etc. But not the heavier steering. Whilst Sport button engaged gives all the changes.

However the most noticeable difference is when using the manual shifting with Sports button activated, the downshift and up shift is much faster and direct, and the rev matching (blipping) is more aggressive. Don't take my word for go try it and see for yourself. You won't get this effect by just adding the so-called sports button retro-fit, you need to flash the EGS to the SAT firmware which is what I did.
