Yup DRLS are a MUST in Canada. Even when importing an vehicle from the states, you must have the DRLS enabled for the car to pass safety inspections and such.

Mine is a May 2004 built and has the option in idrive listed.
If you really have the newest software, ask your dealer why it isn't enabled.

Close, I think DRL on/off option on US pre-LCI only available in non-Navigation (M-ASK) equiped car as such option been in my iDrive sub-menu since my original version.

Yep, just as Gene highlighted above. Pre-LCI cars in Europe can turn on/off DRL's while that only became an option in the US with the LCI cars...

In the Netherlands where he is located! Kidding aside, my memory is likely bad but I don't recall updated software on Pre-LCI cars in the US adding the ability to turn on/off DRL's. Silly really...

I'm not sure what version I had when I got the car but the DRL on/off been there even after 3 or 4 software update...
