Turn off drl's in "hidden menu"?

Is there such a menu? I keep seeing posts on how to do other things within hidden menu's...just wondering if anyone knows if there is a hidden menu for drl's

the hidden menu is diagnostic AFAIK, really can't do much, if anything from it...

Can't you just do it in iDrive? I think I did, but will have a look when driving home.

US pre-lci e60's AFAIK do not have that option via iDrive...I could be wrong tho...

LCI e60's can access DRL controls via iDrive...

No..not a menu for it on my idrive...even though I got an update a few months back. I have heard some say they can turn them on/ off in their idrive.....but for whatever reason, I can not.

Pre-LCI the dealer computer has to enable or disable the DRL's. LCI's can do it via the iDrive menu.

Dealerships wont disable the drls because of liability issues. I had mine disable before the last reflash, some mechanic shop that specializes in bmws, they did for about $40, in 2mins.

I just checked, I can turn them on or off in idrive. Maybe it's a US thing?

The local dealer here will turn them off for $49

but aren't drl's required in canada, maybe that's why the dealerships there won't do it...
