Hi everyone, recently I called CARiD to order some new headlights for my 2007 530i, and they asked a bunch of questions which I'm going to list here to see if everyone could help me with them. They asked me if my car is manufactured FROM SEPTEMBER or TO SEPTEMBER, and if my car also has a stock HID/XENON and WITH or WITHOUT AFS SYSTEM, or is it WITH AUTO LEVELING HEADLIGHTS. Also, asked for my HEADLIGHT OE# just to make sure for the correct part or fitments. Any help please.....with this post the headlights I have now in my car.
just from seeing the pictures, I can tell you have active headlights with xenon installed and they are produced before September. In the last picture, the left silver box is the control box for the active headlights (left to right movement) the next box its the ballast for the xenon bulbs. and you can tell they are PRE- LCI headlights because of the rounded connector in the second picture. (headlights produced for LCI models have one square looking connector instead of two rounded ones)
If you want to double-check just enter your VIN number to any BMW VIN decoder in google and you'll see your production date and what options the car came with.
last question. Why are you changing your headlights?
Thanks so much for the info, I'm replacing them because they're pretty scratch up and haven't been able to restore them to look better, I tried a few things but they still don't clear. So I rather replace them...

Go to realoem.com. Enter your VIN number. Then, look under the appropriate page for your headlights. It will provide you with a part number. Then, Google away.

I too became hopeless after failing with sanding based products. I then paid $100 to have them professionally cleaned and UV coated which was a lot cheaper than new headlights. But wait... There's more. Later on my headlights got mucked up again. I then tried Meguiar's PlastX and that did a great job. I'd highly recommend it.
