i accidentally opened the trunk with the key remote but have't noticed that after i drove couple feet off the parking space. however the indicator (the little car diagram shows on the dash) didn't go on nor the warning tone. i drove a few more feet and wanted to see if anything going to happen (any warning tone or indicator diagram) but nothing happened at all. so i just slammed the trunk close and ignored it. couple days later i drove off the parking space w/o the trunk opened but both the indicator and the warning tone were on. i stopped the car, opened the trunk, closed it again and it was ok. so far that "problem" doesn't come back again. i'm not sure the parking area is haunted  or one of those software problems again <_<. anyone has experienced this before?

Hi there,

Yes, I experienced a similar problem last week. I was driving off when the door ajar indicator told me that the trunk was open. I looked back, the trunk was closed. So I came out opened the trunk and closed it again, alert went off.

Always worried that this car has too much electronics.

I read in my local paper that Mercedes is removing 600 car functions.

Cheers
J.
