Troubleshoot TPM??
Anyone know how to troubleshoot TPMS to isolate an issue? I'm thinking that my Right Front TPM sensor is dead. But want to diagnose that it's the problem for SURE.
What's happening is that the car informs me that it has a TPM malfunction, then on occasion it reads the Right Front is low. Pressure in the Right Front is 44 psi.
How would I be able to tell if the issue is related to the TPMS Control unit?
BTW this site is great I recently DIY'ed my valve cover gasket with info from this site. Great Stuff!

Seems to me if it is reporting only the one tire that should narrow it down a lot. You can by places like discount tire or some auto parts places, they have readers for the actual tpms unit.

Tried letting the air out, resetting TPM, refilling to 44 psi, then drove and reset TPM while driving. Car shows low air on right front then says TPM malfunction. Going to change the sensor, on the right front, and have both front tires balanced.
Did see that Pep Boys does a free TPMS check.(thanks for the advice!!) But I am 95% sure that the sensor/transmitter in the right front tire is the issue. $83 from BMW of South Atlanta. Aftermarket part from Advance Auto parts is $81. I'm buying the one from BMW
