Add an option for the 530D/525D/535D and you should get more responses.

Mine used to hesitate. It doesn't anymore. I didn't do anything specific to change it. I have about 4400 miles on the car. I've had a couple of software updates.

streak.... I expected the d's to respond as well. there is no i or d on the poll answers since it is about transmission and model number not i vs d.
Once again, I have to remind people there was a limit to the number of allowed answers.
Am I right that most readers skip the longer posts and don't care to read the details? It sure looks that way.

SG530, you make a good point about people not reading detailed posts!!
However I believe that it is a mistake not to mention the diesels separately. There a number of aspects of the diesel transmission that would make it different from the petrol/gas models.
Some of the trouble I am having is similar to those experienced by other petrol engines but then some are specific to the diesel (I think).

Add the diesels, you may be surprised by the extra response you get.

Transmission would sometimes shift up a gear as I would come to a rolling slow stop. Noticed that this happened when previously driving slow around 50km/h on local roads where the car would try to be in the highest gear.
The solution is to brake just a touch later and firmer, to teach Steptronic that you
are definately coming to stop. No problem.

FYI, my car idles at 500rpm wo airco and at 750rpm with airco.
