Transmission Oil Change?

Transmission Oil Change?
I'm getting conflicting information from my local Dealer and my Indy. My Indy says the transmission oil never needs to be changed and that "the oil becomes a part of the system". Not exactly sure what that means, but the dealer said "lifetime" oil really means 100K miles. The dealer said they don't recommend anything under 100K miles. Over 100K, they say to flush and they will reset the adaptations. And the transmission may feel like it's slipping a little after.
I need to know what the community is feeling about it... Do most people flush the oil, or just get new oil with a new transmission?

Tell the Indy to never change his underwear. It will become "part of the system". Ha Ha
Like any other lubricant with additives, transmission fluid will wear out. Every 50K miles is the recommendation for those keeping their cars long term.
I would suggest having it changed now.
Tell the shop to do two drain and fills. Do a first drain and fill. Then have the shop run the engine a little bit (let the new and old fluid mix well), let the transmission cool down and then do anther drain and fill, but during the second drain and fill replace the trans fluid pan after draining it with a new one (it has a permanent filter integrated into it).
Like pcy I also would suggest having the adaptation reset.

Regarding the adaptation, it will continue to slip immediately after the reset. This is normal as the ECU is "learning" or adapting to the changes in tolerances between the new fluid and solenoids. Once adaptation is completed (took me about a good days worth of spirited driving), slipping and "slamming" will be a thing of the past. Good luck

Anyone here from socal (SFV) that can reccomend a good indy that i can go to, to have my trans fluid flushed?? Around how much is the cost? Im afraid of my indy coz he said the same thing " its a lifetime fluid"

My Ride: 06 530xi 144K black saphire metalic, Nav, Prem, upgraded sndou
the guy told me today that my trans pan is leaking, and needs replaced where the sleeve is at. I have 144k on my 06 530xi. Is this normal? He is saying it's going to cost me $700. What would I get with that? Does that include this dual flush you think?

The rubber sleeve shouldn't be that much, it is hard to get to. Its located at the rear top passenger side of the trans. You can DIY. Part I think is $15.
