I'm from Australia and everything is a little pricier for BMW parts over here.


I have a 2007 530D LCI M Sport and looking at changing my auto transmission oil. Trying to find the best prices out there. I have been able to locate a genuine ZF oil pan/filter ($180 AUD delivered) but oil seems so steep.


BMW ATF2 = $55 per litre
ZF Lifeguard 6 = $48 per litre
Liquid Moly 1800 = $25 per litre


The Liqui Moly is about 50% cheaper!! Just want to know from your experiences, has anyone used this oil and is it ok to use it on our ZF boxes. The website says it's been designed for it

I flushed/replaced mine with Nulon Synthetic ATF - you can get 20l for around $200.

If you are not going to fully flush (as far as you can) then you might be better off taking the hit and using Lifeguard 6.

+1 Lifeguard 6. I also used a ZF filter.
