I've been having the 35-40mph transmission hiccup that many other owners e60 have been experiencing. My mechatronics sleeve has been leaking for while and finally took care of it. The sleeve was replaced and tranny oil swapped out. Just wanted to report that the hiccup is now completely gone. It could've just been low tranny fluid causing the issues. My mechanic said only 4 quarts came out vs the 6 quarts capacity. I also didn't do any of the tranny resets as suggested on several posts here.

Good news. As you only fixed a leak and filled the gearbox to the proper level, there would be no need to 'reset' anything. You really only need to do that if you are replacing the valve body or valve body components.

I wonder if this is my issue as well......
My mechatronics sleeve was leaking. I had my indy replace the sleeve, the pan and filter and refill with fresh fluid. But I still have the hiccup. Was thinking the solenoids needed replacement. How can you tell if the transmission fluid is at the proper level? Is there a disptick?
