WONDERING IF ANYONE CAN HELP, THIS INDICATOR WENT OFF THIS AFTERNOON AFTER START UP? AT FIRST THE CAR WOULD NOT START AND SAID TRANSMISSSION FAULT AND THEN ONCE IT TURNED OVER THIS ERROR MESSAGE WENT OFF... WONDERING IF NEONE KNOWS WHAT THE PROBLEM MAY BE? THANKS!

year and model of your e60 might help, along with approx miles...

this error can come up for various reasons...a quick search would get you a plethora of threads/info

try advanced search> "increased+emissions">e60 5 series forum

Our 545's had a recall awhile back regarding the PRV. I had the same fault and this relatively easy and cheap repair solved my problems.
