Transfer Case Issues?
 

Hey guys new here…. I own an E60 535xi Sedan both wi yet and sport packages. I’ve done a lot maintenance this last year or so and all of a sudden I’m thinking I’ve got to replace the transfer case motor, I’ve OBD and from what I got it is in rear wheel drive currently and all other codes point to transfer case or are also related. I’ve heard of folks simply messing with the worm gear rather than replacing entire motor… is there anyway to daily drive it while waiting on new transfer case motor? Maybe pull a fuse or something? I do not want to cause any further damage to the drive train and this is a first for me so wasn’t exactly sure how crucial of a situation I was in and if it was still ok to drive. I’ve heard both yay and nay however I’m skeptical.
