Ok so I just got off a 6 hour trip

getting right off off the freeway the Transmission Fault Error came on. at 1st gear it is VERY slow

So I just got done unpacking and went to turn on the engine again and all systems ok should.

Im going to go ahead and take it in still, but I was wondering if anyone had other experiences with this

**i searched the forums and looks like this msg comes up and goes away and comes back again**

thanks

No trans fault errors on my 530xi but they were a regular occurrance as my 7 series mileage increased; trans failure @ 90K miles on e32 740; same mileage on my '01 740

The warning may go away but IMHO get thee to a BMW Dealer Service Center and have the failure reported - especially if you are still under warranty. If the alert appears before then take a quick pic with your cell phone just in event the SA can't retrieve it from one of the BMWs many computers!
