I have a 2008 528i and was driving it today first time in two weeks vary cold here in ohio and a light came on and said trans failer contact bmw and it acted kind of funny till i got it home have never had anything go wrong with this car it has 51000 miles on it help what do you think it never did this before hope its the cold?

It is the cold in addition to not driving for two weeks. You have to keep these cars active otherwise the battery weakens which cause all types of electrical malfunctions. If you didn't drive it long enough to recharge the battery today then charge the battery with a tender before you head out again. Also, I am not sure what the TRAINSMISSION is, I don't have one of those on my car. Just kidding.
