Thumbs up

Just got week 9 pro nav and noticed traffic information section with re-route facility.

Does anyone know if this is standard and forms part of the package or do you have to pay an annual subscription after 6/12 months.

When I got my first e60 back in Sept 03 the traffic system called " traffic master" was ?1,300.

Anyone know?

Thanks

Merv

It's part of TMC, so, effectively, it's free (you're paying for it in royalty fee on the sat nav disc)

Is it possible to get this on pre-week 9 e60's?? How much would the upgrade be?

TMC is free in France. BMW has signed an agreement with v-traffic (TMC data provider company in France).
It's available everywhere in Europe, not in the US as far as I know.

Sould be the same as the bus nav you had on your old car - so long as you have a TMC enabled DVD (2004-1 onwards) and the right version of SW then this should be free.

Marty,

Didn't have it with my last bus nav, disc was 02/03.

One thing I did notice the womens voice was more friendly on bus nav. The one I have now seems abrupt and couldn't careless whether I turn right or not.

The traffic jam warning bit is just superb and very accurate. When it informed of a jam for the first time I just had to keep going to see if it was true, of course it was!

TMC comes from the radio stations and is free.

BMW has a similar service (VI+), what is part of BMW Assist.
